The importance of Innovation

Nowadays, innovation is very important; it does not depend of any field or profession, we as teachers and people of the XXI century cannot deny to these changes.

It is completely normal to be a little bit scared when we face new things, but it is our obligation to put in practice new technologies, concepts, ideas, and others to improve the way in which we are teaching the language.

We are the main source that students have to learn the language, if we change our old methods, students could achieve our main goal that is a communicative environment in our classrooms... so we need to make a change NOW...

Essay about teacher's attitude

The woman who had changed many lives around the years

Anne Mansfield Sullivan Macy never suspected that she would be the inspiration of many women and educators around the world. When she began teaching she had to face a big challege, although she was a special educator, she worked with a girl highly undisciplined and blind.

I consider that every teacher has a little bit of special educator in his or her live, every single day we fight with different student’s problems; these could be emotional, intellectual, or learning problems among others. We as professional must face them, we can not ignore them because they are part of our work and moral, also, because most of our students trust on us, and we can not fail them.

Besides, it is very common to hear in our schools to different teachers that believe that the best way to discipline students is to send many reports or giving them slow scores, but is does not work, sometimes, students have different problems in their homes or lives and the only way to forget them is to be undisciplined. We must pay attention to these acctitudes and be able to help them in order to get a nice environment in our classrooms (as a mutual agreement).

When we are in our classrooms we share our time and work with different students who do not have any physical disability, and sometimes with that reality our work becomes in a battlefield. Honesty I admire the patient that special educators have, they teach to their students not only the subjects they must to, but also, they prepare them to continue living and facing this changing world.

For me is really amazing to know that a woman shared many years of her life helping a student, she had the capability to attended classes with her in other institutes, she fought constantly for her rights, and also, she created different foundations to benefit blind people. Is this the class of woman we must follow? The answer is YES…instead of being complaining for the extra work that sometimes we have, we must pay attention to the benefits we are offered to our students and be proud for that.
